How to Fit a Bicycle Helmet

Helmets are not hats! They must be level on your head and strapped on securely to be protective in a crash. You want the helmet to be level on the head, with the fitting pads inside touching all the way around and the strap comfortably snug.

 

Things to Remember When Riding Your Bicycle.

Always wear a bicycle approved helmet when riding your bike.

Be sure that your bike has reflectors located on the front and back of your bike and on the    spokes of your tires.

Make sure that your brakes and tires are in good working condition.  If your brakes or tires are worn down replace them.

Wear bright colored clothing when riding your bike so that others can easily see you.

Have a light mounted to the front of your bike for easier visibility and so that others may see you at night.

Ride with the flow of traffic.  Never ride against traffic.

MOST OF ALL, REMEMBER WHEN RIDING ON PUBLIC STREETS, FOLLOW THE SAME RULES AS THE CARS.

* Stop at signal lights.
* Go with the flow.
* Use proper hand signals when turning.


AND NEVER ASSUME THAT OTHERS SEE YOU!!
